Today was the Salt Lake Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 5K. I had four of my "boys" and one of my "girls" run in the race (we run most races together).
I was not able to join them. I am heading to the hospital on Tuesday for yet ANOTHER surgery (to fix problems from the last one)
I am feeling a little weepy today about that . . .
Here are my boys picking up their race packets Friday night.I joined the racers at the starting line, but forgot my camera in the car (crap!)
It was amazing! There were over 5,000 runners in the 1/2 and full marathon. I shed a few tears - it's hard to be the supporter and NOT the RUNNER!
Chris and Jeff (brothers) - both finished in AMAZING times. This is Jeff's first race. Congrats on a great finish, Jeff!!

I miss running - I miss racing. If you haven't run a race or experienced a race, you are missing out. There is an amazing energy and such a sense of accomplishment and triumph. Congrats to all the finishers - hope to join you next year!

I am so sorry you weren't able to participate. I didn't know you were having another surgery, please let me know if you need anything!
I was crying with you! I got sick last week and the day before the race my Dr. said because of the medications I am on I couldn't run!! It was horrible, but I surely can't have bad luck three times in a row so I will just keep trying! Good luck with you surgery! I hope they get everything fixed so you can get back to running soon:)
Oh, Kristine, you are so good at hiding any troubles when I see you in person. I had no idea you have to have more surgery. PLEASE let me do something. Can I bring a meal? It won't taste nearly as good as the one you brought when Alan had surgery (or was that mine? That food was SOOO good!) but I'll bring something! PLEASE call me or I'll call you and bug.
