My dream of running the St. George marathon was crushed last Thursday. I've been experiencing pain during my running (horrible, agonizing pain, actually). Finally got some answers from the doctor. Turns out I have a quite serious medical problem that requires extensive surgery. I will not be able to run in the marathon. After spending the last 48 hours crying over it, I decided I will just suck it up, have the surgery and try again next year. (Postponing surgery just long enough to finish the school semester.)
Michelle will still run, by herself. She is completely and totally awesome - she ran 20 miles last weekend! She rocks. I, however, do not.
If you're out running - do a mile for me. If you see my crying, you will know why.

Oh Kristine, I am so sorry. You will run the marathon next year! Get healthy again, and you will be even better for the next run...love you, hang in there.
Oh, I know you must be sad! But I am so happy that you finally know what the issue is. Call me when you know what your surgery schedule is and I'll be happy to help with kids, food, etc... I HAVE to pay you back for the yummy food you brought us during Al's surgery time!
I am so sorry. Please let me know how I can help when you have surgery.
